Inviting Connectors to your Commsor network
Inviting Connectors to your Commsor network

Best practices for inviting customers, investors, executives, and more to share their networks with you.

Updated over 2 months ago

Your Connectors are the backbone of a Go-to-Network strategy with Commsor. They're your investors, customers, executives, partners, advisors, etc who are willing to help you and your team with warm intros and referrals.

Creating Connector Groups

First thing you should do is identify what groups of Connectors you want to invite, and then setup. Once you've done that, go to Workspace Settings -> Connectors and select User Groups at the top.

Here you can define different groups for each type of Connector you plan to invite. You can set two group-specific settings per user group:

  • Limit number of monthly requests - this limits the total number of requests per month users in this group can get. Useful for making sure customers don't get overused.

  • Required intro ghostwriting - this forces intro requests to come from 1 or more specific team members. For example, you can let your SDRs write and request intros from Board Members, but require your founders to approve and send the requests out.

Inviting Connectors

Once you've defined your first Connector Groups, you can invite people to them. Click on Manage Connectors and select "+ Invite".

There are three ways to send invites to Commsor:

  • Manual list of emails - best when inviting just a few people. Paste their emails and send.

  • CSV import - best when inviting large groups (10+ people). If you have a CSV list of names and email, you can simply upload to bulk invite.

  • Shareable link - best for more personalized invites (such as an investor update email). Generate a link and manually send via Slack, LinkedIn, or paste into an email.

Communicating Expectations to Connectors

Below is a collection of common questions you might encounter when inviting Connectors to join you on Commsor with best practices to answer them.

Is Commsor safe?

Yes, Commsor is secure and built with your privacy in mind. We're fully SOC2 Type 2 and GDPR compliant. View our full security docs here.

What happens to my data when I connect?

Your data is synced to your account, not the workspace you're sharing with. That means you can, at any time, disconnect your data from a workspace and they'll lose full access to it.

For a full list of what data points we process, look here.

Does Commsor read my messages?

No, Commsor does not read your DMs or emails or store any of the messaging information. We simply look at who you're engaging with to help measure how well connected you are to someone.

.

This helps make sure intro requests are done well, so that you're not getting requests for people you don't actually know at all.

Is it safe to connect my LinkedIn?

Yes, our LinkedIn plugin is only used to get a list of your connections, and nothing else. No scraping, automations, or messaging is sent via our plugin so you won't end up in LinkedIn jail.

Example Messaging for Connectors

When creating manual invite links, you can create your own messaging for invites. Here are some suggested templates and guidelines for different types of invites.
