Sharing Network Segments

How to share different segments of your network, allowing you to collaborate with others via email or a shareable link with general access.

Updated over a week ago

Step-by-step tutorial:

  1. Open Bronto and Access Contacts:

    • Launch the Bronto application and log in with your credentials.

    • Once logged in, navigate to the left-hand menu and click on "Contacts" to access your contacts and segments.

  2. Find the Segment to Share:

    • In the Contacts section, you will see various segments. Locate the segment you want to share; for this tutorial, we will use the "Community Builders" segment as an example.

  3. Understand the Segment Type:

    • Before sharing the segment, it's essential to understand the segment type. In the video transcript, it's mentioned that the "Community Builders" segment is a dynamic segment, meaning it is dynamically updated based on specific criteria.

  4. Access the Sharing Options:

    • Once you have the desired segment open, look for the "Share" option in the upper right corner of the screen.

  5. Choose the Sharing Method:

    • Click on the "Share" option to reveal the different ways you can share the segment.

    • Two sharing methods are sharing directly with individuals via email and enabling general access to the segment via a shareable link.

  6. Share via Email:

    • To share the segment with a specific person, choose the "Share with People" option.

    • A dialog box will appear prompting you to enter the email address of the person you want to share the segment with. Type in the email address and click "Share."

    • The segment will now be shared with the person you specified.

  7. Remove Access (Optional):

    • If you need to revoke access to the shared segment, return to the share screen and find the shared user's email.

    • Click on the option to remove access, and they will no longer be able to view the segment.

  8. Enable General Access:

    • If you want to share the segment with anyone on the web, similar to Google Docs, enable the "General Access" feature.

    • When you enable this feature, a shareable link will be generated, and anyone with the link can access the curated segment list.

  9. Share the Link:

    • Once the general access link is enabled, you can copy the generated URL and share it with others through email, social media, or any other communication channel.

    • Anyone with the link can now view the curated list you've shared.

Congratulations! You have now learned how to share different segments of your network with different individuals using Bronto's sharing capabilities.

This feature allows you to collaborate effectively with coworkers and share valuable data with others, enhancing your marketing efforts and network management.
