Once you've created your Intro Board, it's time to make sure people know it exists. Here are a few suggested ways to help spread the word to help you get more intros and referrals.
Post about it on LinkedIn
Get your team to share the Intro Board on LinkedIn when you launch it. If your audience is anything like ours, you likely have a lot of people who want to support you, but aren't in a position to directly be customers. Your Intro Board can be a great way to activate them to drive value for your business indirectly.
You can also setup LinkedIn thought leader ads to keep your teams posts top of mind on an ongoing basis.
Share it in your community
Have a Slack community or a forum for your customers? Create a post about your Intro Board and pin it so that your members can always see it and keep it top of mind.
Include it in your newsletter
Add a new section to your recurring newsletter reminding your audience that you're offering them a reward for specific referrals and include a link to your Intro Board. Keeping it top of mind on a recurring basis will help drive a consistent flow of new referrals your way.
Forward it to your investors
Next time you have a board meeting or send an investor update, include a link to your Intro Board and remind your investors to take a quick look and see if they can help with any accounts.
And because they're your investors, you probably won't even have to pay them a referral fee for doing it.
Share it when someone asks "how can I help?"
How often do you meet someone new and they end the conversation with "let me know if I can help in any way"? Maybe you let them know you'd love some referrals to your ICP, and then you both go your separate ways.
Now you can send them a link to your Intro Board, and make that ask more specific. This means you're much more likely to actually get a referral.
