Custom links are a a helpful tool for teams to generate a personalized link for a prospect. You can share it with prospects and that'll proactively offer them a reference to the customer they know and trust.
Getting There
To get to Custom Links, select Connect on your lefthand sidebar, then Custom Links.
When you're in Custom Links, you'll see all the custom links that your team has created within here, as well as what status that link creation is and the time that they created it. This is very helpful for admins and managers as well as the team, since you'll be able to better understand how your team is using Connect and how well they are customizing the experience for your prospects.
Creating a Custom Link
To create a custom link, click the purple Custom Link button at the top right.
Fill out the name, email address, and LinkedIn profile for the person you're sending this to.
And you're done!
Managing Custom Links
You can see the status of each custom link in the Custom Link's table, including:
who it's created for
whether they completed the flow, sent a message, and successfully connected to a customer
who they connected with
who created the link
the time it was created
You also have the option to filter to only see certain statuses.
How to Share It
You can share the link anywhere you're talking to the prospect - just insert the url in your message. Here's an example of how others have shared it below.
Hey [Name], per our chat today, I thought it would be helpful to connect you to customers already using our product successfully. You can connect with them easily here [INSERT LINK] - just put in your email address and then select who you'd like to connect with.
What Your Prospect Sees
Your prospect will see a very similar flow to what users experience on the website.
Once they click "Access your Connect references", they'll then see people they know who are already in your Commsor ecosystem.
Troubleshooting
If you create a custom link and receive a message like the below, it means your prospect has no connections to any of your customers. Therefore, since there's no one they have a direct tie to (and therefore might know and trust), we'd recommend not sharing a custom link with them.
